Jill H. Breslau is an experienced mediator and litigator. A mediator since 1981, she has 16 years of litigation experience, is trained as a psychotherapist, and has taught psychology at the college level. She has lectured numerous times on various aspects of family law, focusing recently on the role emotion plays in decision-making in divorce.
Ms. Breslau was formerly a partner in the Sarasota, Florida, law firm of Branning, Breslau, Harrison & Dakan. She is a member of the bar of Maryland, the District of Columbia, Florida and Colorado.
She received the Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University in 1977, and she earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in 1997. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Boston University in 1968.
Ms. Breslau believes that divorce is a crucible for change and growth. She is committed to facilitating the resolution of conflict so that clients can preserve the positive aspects of their relationship, reach a durable agreement, and establish a parenting process that nurtures and supports their children.
