Judge Freezes Trust Account of Birkhead’s Custody Lawyer

A Superior Court judge in Los Angeles County has frozen more than half a million dollars in the client trust fund of Debra Opri, former attorney for Larry Birkhead in his custody battle.

This is money from a million-dollar deal that Birkhead signed with Bravo network. Birkhead sued Opri, claiming that she was supposed to pay the money to him. Instead she put the money in her trust account and sent him a huge bill for legal services.

The judge has tentatively ruled that the money belongs to Birkhead.

    Certainly Larry has more right to that money than Opri does, however it is awfully ironic that someone else’s greed is now slowing down Larry Birkhead’s own unjust pursuit of the Marshall’s fortune.
